Our Vision
The KAAKBAY Rehabilitation Center is a non-stock and non-profit volunteer organization that envisions all marginalized, differently-abled members of the community will have access to the services of the rehabilitation team, re-integrate them to the society, and become able and productive again.
Our Mission
KAAKBAY is composed of young volunteer rehabilitation professionals such as Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Nurses, SpED Teachers and Caregivers committed to the upliftment of the lives of the indigent, differently-abled population by providing quality rehabilitative services that shall be accessible, both in affordability and location.
Our Goals
- To be especially concerned with the welfare of the differently-abled child and extend necessary assistance in the early detection of disability among them;
- To advocate for the rights of persons with disabilities and their families;
- To create linkages and affiliations with local, national and international organizations concerned with the welfare of the differently-abled population and play an active role in the various activities of such;
- To re-define the practice from the usual hospital or clinic-based setting to a community-based setting to reach a greater number of clients;
- To organize seminars and workshops to uplift the practice of rehabilitation professionals;
- To be a center of excellence as a training ground for volunteer professionals and serve as a good venue to practice the profession;
- To disseminate information about the importance of rehabilitation and raise awareness on the prevention of different leading causes of disability;
- To coordinate and organize medical and dental outreach programs to various depressed areas of the community;
